2015 Cass Tech Boys Part 1: Josh Alabi

Today two offers in the 2015 class went out to two stout sophomores at Cass Tech in Josh Alabi and Mike Weber.  Alabi plays both OL and DE for Coach Thomas Wilcher as where Mike Weber is a RB and a hell of a RB at that.

First up we will talk about Josh Alabi..

^^ Link to Josh’ s sophomore highlights!!

Josh Alabi is a 6’4 DE.  Josh to me is a near clone of Taco Charlton and has the potential to be a top DE in the 2015 class.  In his highlight video above you instantly see his power and versatility.  Josh has the potential to execute any block neccessary when playing on the O-Line yet also on the defensive side of the ball has the ability to shed a block and make a play.

Although his skills are rather raw right now, you must remember he is only a sophomore and has two years to further tune his skills and utilize all of his ability.  Michigan is the first school to offer Josh and he could very soon see many more schools calling his name.  I spoke with him earlier and here is a quick glimpse at what he had to say..

-Thoughts on The offer ” I am very blessed to have an offer from the University of Michigan, and I am looking to get more offers and when it comes time to commit I pray that I make the right decision, and all goes well.  It all is just truly a life blessing.”

-On the position he was offered at ” At this point the coaches didn’t really specify a  position that the were recruiting me at.”

-What he likes about Michigan “I love Michigan because they have a great athletic program and a great coaching staff and it is also one of the best academic schools in the country.”

-On a timetable for his decision “Right now I have no idea, I am only a sophomore so I definitely have time to think about where I will be going.”

Josh went on to mention that he hopes to make a visit up to Ann Arbor soon and that indeed, MICHIGAN IS HIS LEADER.

Josh is a well spoken young man with a great head on his shoulders.  He has the potential to be a top DE and with the expertise coaching of Wilcher, he is well on his way.  As time passes, definitely keep an eye on Josh.  We will stay in touch with Alabi as time goes on and he is definitely a top player in the 2015 class.  GO BLUE!
