Michigan picked up their seventh commit of the 2014 football class today in the form of tight end Ian Bunting out of Hinsdale Central HS in Illinois.According to 247Sports, Bunting is the 11th ranked tight end in the ’14 class and a four-star prospect. At 6-6 and 215 pounds, Bunting is a force to be reckoned with and one of the more athletic players at his position.
The tight end situation for this class was very fluid, and it seemed like Bunting’s commit triggered a domino effect among some other guys considering the Wolverines.
Daniel Helm commited to Tennessee shortly after Bunting’s announcement, and later on Nic Weishar gave a verbal to Notre Dame. The Wolverines were going to be in good shape with whoever they landed out of these guys, but it was Ian Bunting who beat them all to the punch.
Bunting was in Ann Arbor over the weekend for a visit.
