Kyron Watson Update

Kyron Watson, 2014 OLB out of East Saint Louis HS in Illinois recently picked up a Michigan offer and since that offer went out, things have been full steam ahead.

Last night I was fortunate enough to touch base with Kyron and he said that Coach Mattison will be dropping by Friday to meet with him and that the goal is to set up a visit for early May.

Coming off the recent honor of being ranked #100 in the ESPN Top 150, Watson has began to cement a base for a rise up the recruiting boards.  He recently participated in the Rivals Camp in Illinois and reportedly proved his ranking true.  Experts say he has a good combination of size and strength and although slightly raw, he could develop into one of the best linebackers in the class.

Kyron hits like a bulldozer and from his film you can take quick notice to his hard hitting abilities.

All signs seem to point to Michigan leading for Watson, and his meeting with Mattison this week could go a long away.  On his Twitter, Watson often mentions speaking with Michigan coaches and went on to tell me that he talks with them nearly daily.

If everything goes as planned, I defintely would not rule out Watson being a part of this class, and if all goes well when he does visit, it is possible that he may commit on the spot.  Keep it locked to as his visit nears.
